Will I, as an individual user, be charged extra for using this service?
No. The Health & Well-being service is personal, confidential and is included in your private medical insurance plan. The only cost you will incur when using the service is that charged by your Internet service provider for the time you spend online.
Can my family use the Health and Well-being service?
Anyone aged over 18, who is insured under your Standard Life Healthcare policy can use the service.
Why did you choose vielife to provide your Health & Well-being service?
We chose vielife to provide our Health & Well-being service because it is the leading health management firm of its kind, with more than 15 years' experience. vielife has worked with many different types of organisations ranging from commercial businesses to Formula One drivers and sportsmen.
Will anyone else be able to see the information I enter or look up?
No personal information or data you put into the site is held, stored or passed to Standard Life Healthcare or any other organisation other than vielife itself. It's all completely confidential and safe.
I'm insured through my employer, will they have access to my data?
Your personal data will never be accessible to anyone within your organisation. If more than ten employees in your organisation take the Health & Well-being assessment, your company will be provided with an annual report which has no personal data but highlights key areas for improvement.
What if I don't manage to visit the Health & Well-being website as much as I'd like to, despite my best intentions?
You can pick up where you left off. You will get email reminders from time to time. These are designed to help you stay on track, but you're in control and you decide how much and when you want to work on your plan.
Can I print off or save information I find of interest?
You can save information to your desktop or print it off using your normal PC process. You can also save your assessments on the website.
How will I know if I'm improving?
Once you've completed your online assessments you'll be able to make a note of where you are and set a plan for where you want to be. You'll get all the help you need to get you there and reminders to help you keep on track.
There are so many health fads out there - and so much information. How do I know I can rely on the Health & Well-being advice?
vielife use only qualified sources and articles are medically validated.
Is this service available just to me or is anyone else covered too?
The Health & Well-being service is part of your private medical insurance plan - for you, and insured members of your family who are over 18.
What happens if my cover with Standard Life Healthcare ends?
As the Health & Well-being service is an integral benefit of your cover your access to the service will end. vielife will remove all data they hold that identifies you and your account will be locked.
