If you opt for the GP Consultation Line, the benefits are:

• Speak to a UK-based NHS doctor
• No charge for a consultation call
• Request a male or female doctor

Getting the advice they need

Our GPs provide an excellent source of professional advice. The majority of callers receive a diagnosis and the advice they need during their call, with the remainder being advised on an appropriate course of action.

Nurse Helpline

When you need medical treatment, it’s all too easy to forget to ask your doctor all the questions you have or talk through all your concerns. An experienced team of nurses operate this medical helpline with doctors on hand.

Our nurses can put you in touch with:

• Over 1,600 national help organisations and support groups
• Health authorities
• Social services
• Other welfare organisations

They can also offer general medical advice, whether it’s about:

• Diet
• Exercise
• Nutrition
• Holidays (immunisations, hygiene, insects and parasites, long haul flights and sun protection)
